Comment
This print belongs to a series of 44 plates reproducing in the same direction the paintings by Annibale Carraci in the Farnese Gallery, Rome. It was published as a bounded volume in Rome several times. The first two editions (one before 1657, another in 1657) were published by Francois Colignon, the third by Arnold van Westerhout, the fourth by Venanzio Monaldini (without date), the fifth by Girolamo Mainardi (without date), the sixth again by Venanzio Monaldini in 1753.
