Comment
The series, consisting of 13 plates including the title page, reproduces the monochrome frescoes of the lower parts of the wall in the Sala di Costantino in the Vatican Palace. It was published by Giovanni Giacomo de' Rossi in a book format in 1677. The plates are preserved in the Calcografia Nazionale, Rome (inv. nos 626/1-12).
