Comment
According to Dillon in Venice 1981, this print exemplifies Franco's Raphaelesque experiences through the art of Perino del Vaga and Polidoro da Caravaggio, as well as influences by Salviati. He claims that the Titianesque background, similar to the print attributed to Mardo Angolo del Moro (Bartsch XVI.101.8), is a later addition to the figures.
