Comment
According to Dillon in Verona 1980, the print demonstrates a Northern taste. The theme had been engraved in 1554 by Giorgio Ghisi after Giovanni Battista Bertani's design (Bartsch XV.413.69). In Fontana's version, landscape elements dominate.
