After Facchetti's original print dated to c. 1580, deriving from Giulio Romano's painting of 1528, preserved in Dresden, Gemaldegalerie, inv. no. 103. The painting was the source of several other prints: Giulio Bonasone (Bartsch XV.256.52), Giovanni Battista del Moro (Bartsch XVI.182.10 and XVI.183.11), and an anonymous Fontainebleau etcher (Bartsch XVI.294.17). This copy was first published by M. L. Ferry.
