Comment
Derives from Tintoretto's painting for the Sala Superiore della Scuola di San Rocco, executed c. 1578-81. Odoardo Fialetti widened the space around the figure, because the painting, together with its pendant representing St Roche, is located in a narrow space between the windows on the wall opposite of the altar. The etcher also modified the phisiognomy of the saint, therefore the result differs considerably from its model.
