Comment
One of four engravings after the paintings in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, representing the different aspects of love. These paintings, dated to c. 1585-89, had previously been ascribed to Agostino Carracci but are now attributed to Paolo Fiammingo. For Agostino's other print see inv. no. 6059, for the two executed by one of the Sadelers, see Bohn in TIB.
