Bartsch records that the print was erroneously attributed to Raimondi by Heinecken. This popular composition was recorded also in a larger anonymous engraving (Bartsch XV.28.7). For Ugo da Carpi's chiaroscuro woodcut of the same subject (Bartsch XII.89.6) see inv. no. 6150.
