Comment
This is one of five engravings after figures in Michelangelo's Last Judgement in the Sistine Chapel, painted between 1536-41. Bartsch and later writers grouped together these five engravings as a series, but Bruce Davis shows evidence against this by noting they were executed during a long period and in different size and manner. This figure was also engraved by Giulio Bonasone, see Bartsch XV.132.79.
