Comment
Related to Giulio Romano's drawing, inspired by the Antique, preserved in the Albertina, Sc.R.415, inv. no. 334. a drawing in the Louvre, inv. no. 3505, is considered a copy after Giulio's original. Massari in Rome 1993 relates this print stylistically with adamo Scultori's Hercules and aWoman Seated (Bartsch XV.420.10, see inv. no. 5413) also of an oval format. The plate has Two Putti in a Chariot (Bartsch XV.421.12, see inv. no. 5411) engraved on its verso. The plate was listed in the inventories of de' Rossi, before it entered the collection of the Calcografia, Rome.
