Comment
The print belonged to Antonio Lafreri's 1573 edition of the Speculum. An earlier version of this print contains only the building, without the additional plate at the bottom, and bears the signature of Beatrizet at left and Lafreri's publisher's address and the date of 1548 at right. According to Bianchi 1981, the present version printed from two plates has three states. Beatrizet made another engraving for Salamanca of the same subject, see Bianchi 2003-4, no. 108.
