The print belongs to the series reproducing Pietro da Cortona's frescoes in the Palazzo Barberini, Rome that Giovanni Giacomo de' Rossi had copied after the plates by Camillo Congio, Cornelis Bloemaert, and Johann Friedrich Greuter illustrating Girolamo Teti's work 'Aedes Barberinae ad Quirinalem', published in 1642 (see inv. nos 8478-8482).
