According to De Witt 1938, p. 34, Bartsch was only aware of the print representing Geometry from this series. According to Dillon in Venice 1980, the artistic taste of the series was reflected in the middle of the century by Italianizing Flemish printmakers and by Hieronymus Cock, who in 1550-51 published a series of ten figures representing the Liberal Arts (Hollstein 1949, VIII, nos. 48-57).
