For the series, see inv. no. 19688. Della Bella used his own drawings executed during the Entry of the Polish embassy into Paris in 1645 for the figures of polish riders in this series as well. There is a related drawing in the Gabinetto dei Disegni e delle Stampe degli Uffizi, Florence, inv. no. 8012 F.
