Comment
Part of the series called Small Early Mythology, deriving, according to Richardson, from Parmigianinesque models. Dillon in Venice 1981 suggests this is an early print by Schiavone, as the defects of the biting and the coarse retouches indicate. He claims that the colours were added in brush to the plate, for which feature L. Donati in 1927 referred to the printmaker as the "creator of monotype".
